Janice Daniels to be on radio Wednesday at 7:37am

Janice Daniels will be on WXYT AM 1270 7:37am Wednesday morning, interviewed by Charlie Langton. He does PR consulting for her, trying to save her from being recalled. Think they will mention that???? Call and ask 248-356-1270

I hope the League of Women Voters NEVER ask him to moderate another forum or debate or panel discussion. He is NOT unbiased. Surely there are other people that are perfectly competent to do those events.

  3. Janice said she has principles. She went on to say that she is concerned with her principles, not the landscape. Wasn't she elected to serve the "landscape?"

  4. I watched Charlie Langton serve as the "impartial moderator" of the CMN debate about the February 2010 millage proposal. (By the way, citizen Janice Daniels served as a very vocal mouthpiece for the "Vote No" camp.) He was anything but impartial. The League of Women Voters lost all credibility with me that night.

  5. All Charlie Langton is interested in is getting the widest and most outspoken calling-in responses, why else his concentration on Janice's views on homosexuality? And he sure got the usual hate-mongering homophobes calling.

She still is tone-deaf in handling it. Now she is describing her FB post as "edgy, like popular culture is these days, and being like Bill Mahr". I want someone with dignity who is mayor, not someone edgy or who is trying to emulate popular culture, and who at the same time is a Tea Party conservative. I am confused as to who she is.

She had her schill caller who only identified himself as "Gordon". He said she was doing a wonderful job, and "had tried to roll back spending in Troy". (really?, when?) The caller was Gordon Schepke, her planning commission appointee. When a caller critical of her called in she didn't hesitate to identify him as with the recall movement, but "Gordon"s connection to her remained undisclosed. So goes the political gamemanship.

I keep hearing her use her buzzword "positive synergy" like a magical incantation. I guess it makes up for her lack of substance or real ideas on how to benefit the economic climate of our city.

  6. She said she wished she would have known what would happen when she made her bigoted comment, because she never would have wanted the controversy brought upon her. HER???? WHAT ABOUT THE CITY?

  7. Charlie is a conundrum. He provides her this forum, but provokes her into saying more controversial and damaging statements; but also says repeatedly throughout the broadcast that he's opposed to her recall.

Basically, he is serving his own interests, that of having a sensational story to be picked up by the national media.
