Businesswomen's website ranks mayor Janice as one of the Worst Women of 2011

Are we swelling with pride yet, or is that just disgust?

The Jane Dough’s Top 10 Worst Women Of 2011
We love covering the inspiring, wonderful, trailblazing women who changed the world in 2011. But we’d be lying if we said all women were great. Herein, The Jane Dough‘s (subjective of course) list of those 10 women who most made us cringe, wince and feel generally angry over the past year.
Are there worse women in the world than some of these ones? No doubt. But these high-profile figures set a bad tone for the better gender in 2011. Agree to disagree with some of our choices? Let us know in the comments. And tell us who we missed.

Janice Daniels
The mayor of Troy, Michigan went from relative obscurity to one of America's most reviled when she posted a Facebook status update that read: "I think I am going to throw away my I Love New York carrying bag now that queers can get married there." Though she apologized, the move was seen as merely political and her defense of "I am human" was hardly convincing. Being human doesn't entitle you to bigotry.
