Karma

from a journalist who HAD to attend council meetings in the past

Looking back at how Janice Daniels got behind a podium to rip on the mayor, city council and city administration, it looks as if she got a brutal lesson in the power of karma. Running a city isn't as easy as it looks from the other side of the council table, is it?

  1. Take A Look At This Post from a Troy, MI CEO about the Allure of Mass Transit

  2. It was interesting how the speakers supporting the mayor charged that the audience had been "bused in" to the meeting Monday night. Funny, ironic, hypocritical given the speakers opposed to the transit center who have no dog in the fight, have come from Birmingham (Wicz), Bloomfield Hills, etc. Robo-calls from TCU et.al during all elections came from the Mayor of Auburn Hills, a guy named Tom McMillan from Rochester, Rocky Rozkowski. What do they have to do with Troy beyond agenda pushing? Actually, upon review of the meeting most of the speakers were from Troy. Just new and engaged faces. Thank you Troy.

  3. For the first time in months, I looked at TCU's facebook page. They are apoplectic...not about what the mayor said, but who outed her for it. What in the world? Claiming that TRUST is "inciting violence." TRUST didn't make the remarks (the mayor did) or post the remarks as I know it. Their anger is very misplaced if they want a political place at the table in Troy in the future. They may be rendering themselves so out of touch with reality that they will never have any sway in Troy again. They will self destruct. Watch other politicos start backing away from them in droves. Except perhaps Glenn Clarke calling the citizens who were mad about her slur, "radicals and bomb throwers." He offends police officers and veterans who protect our nation from real radicals and bomb throwers. Google him sometime and see what a dirty political player he is in Oakland County cloaked in faith and family. Like his friend and co-board chair David Wisz. We witnessed his hysteria last Monday night and on his own facebook bigotry. I sense a pattern here. Birds of a feather...

  6. Prior to running for the mayor's seat, whenever Janice went to City Council meetings, she would always leave right after Public Comment. Yes, that's right. She'd throw out outrageous claims in a most condescending tone and then not even wait around for the Response to Public Comment section. Perhaps if she sat through whole meetings, she would have a better expectation of what needs to occur during a meeting.

  7. Now she has to stay and listen. Quite the captive audience.
