It Just Doesn't Add Up

In Feb. 2010, there were 19,948 residents who voted on the 1.9% millage increase.

12, 632 voted no. That was 63% of those who voted, but it only represents 15% of the total residents in Troy.

In November 2008, there were 37,725 who voted on an issue to cap our city tax millage rate.

27,767 votes yes. That was 74% of those who voted, but it only represents 35% of the total residents in Troy.

Janice Daniels will tell you this about Feb. 2010: “63% of residents voted NO”

Janice Daniels will tell you this about Nov. 2008: “74% of residents voted NO”

Actual fact tells you differently. Now, I know…some of you will say it’s a minor point – talking about “residents” vs. “residents WHO VOTED” seems insignificant.

Except when it’s not.

And now is when it is not. Janice Daniels and her crew of yes-men are professionals at only telling you PART of a story…only giving you facts that make THEM look good. We’ve seen it time after time after time.

And yet they have the NERVE to tell us they stand for honesty? Integrity? Responsibility?

Say no to hypocrisy…say yes to ROBIN BELTRAMINI for Mayor.
